Grid Inn, Seoul

We chose this place because it can be access easily from the airport by Limousine Bus 6002. Also, in Agoda, it was highly rated and importantly, it is within our budget for 3 pax.
Centrally located, enough if you do not need luxury
To be fair, we need to review this place as an Inn. It is really a wonderful Inn.
Centrally located and just short walk to 2 subway lines. Accessible via Airport Limousine 6002. Hotel extended free breakfast to us. Never know that the free breakfast includes toast, eggs, cereal, milk, coffee & fruits. Every morning, they will asked us if we like our egg to be fried one side, or 2 sided.  So nice of them. Free washing machine and dryer use. Small clean bathroom with towels, shower gel and hair dryer provided. Daily cleaning is done and bed is comfortable. Room is small, only enough for beds and walking space. Toilet is small too. We have to be very careful with our toiletries that were placed on the racks above the toilet bowl. If you are not careful enough, things may start falling into the toilet bowl. But we only need to sleep for our trip, so it is still acceptable.

I love it that they allow us to access the rooftop. It is so nice to chill out there. With the kind of weather in Nov, it is definitely good to sit there to have our drink there especially the room do not have space to sit and have a drink or relax. (of course, clean up after use)


Cons- located behind shops from main road, at the side alleys of eateries. You find smokers and 1 homeless man at the alley that leads to Grid Inn. This give us the unsecured feelings. But inside the Grid Inn is totally in another 'world'.  In room safe is provided but faulty. Allow guest to wash clothes using their washing machine and dryer. So really depends on our luck to get an empty slots as there is only 1 machine. Really do not mind if Grid Inn charge us for washing (eg 4000 won per wash like other hotels does) if they provide 1 more washing machine.

I have a pleasant 6 nights stay here in a family room (2 queen 1 single) Overall if you have more than 1 traveller, and like a clean and simple place, this is highly recommended if you are just looking for a room to sleep.

Grid Inn is centrally located near Jongno 3(Sam) ga Subway station. Airport Limousine 6002.

Jungbu Dried seafood market - A short walk for Eujiro 4 (Sa)gna subway station. I love to see the dried seafood here. Unfortunately I cannot bring any of the dried seafood back home. The reason for me to visit this place this morning is to get my Korean Ginseng powder here.  I came 2 days ago but was told there were no more red ginseng powder. 181103-Apsan Park, Daegu

Apsan Park, located in Daegu. We took a KTX train (40K+ won per ticket) to Dong Daegu, took a taxi  paid 10200won to get here) Paid another 9500 won ropeway fees to reach to mountain for this view. When the ropeway reach its station on mountain top, we mistaken Sopra Observatory as Apsan Observatory. After that we realised we need do climb a little to reach the other side for Apsan Observatory. Both observatory were nice to view the landscape. This eatery is located a Sopra Observatory. Dine with good view and food is great. Actually there are 3 mountains here. So watch where you are going. After Apsan Park, we managed to take a taxi to Jungangno Subway station in Daegu for shopping and Topokki. We ate at this shop when we find them not too crowded. The service is really slow and lucky, the food and topokki was good. Very spicy but you would never want to stop. Daegu shopping town is really very crowded. More crowded than in Seoul. 181105 Jungbu Market,Kwangjang market Haneul park

We started our day by buying the famous Isaac Toast from an outlet near our hotel. Since it is a take away counter, we bought 1 muffin bacon with cheese and egg and brought it back to hotel to have breakfast there. (Hotel provides free breakfast for us). My verdict: I will eat it but not go there specially for it. The food has a very soft spongy muffin (the only thing I like about), top with a layer of bacon, a layer of egg omelet, a thin layer of reddish pickle and cheese. There is a tangy sweet flavor when you eat it. I prefer salty feel sandwich but not sweet salty meat sandwich. But not as bad as I will not eat it. If I am hungry, I will eat. Ha ha. Started our tour by visiting Jungbu Market where we see dried seafood and buy our ginseng sweets and my red ginseng powder. Saw a hawker selling some red bean cakes (above). Bought 1 at 2000 won and ended up throwing away as it taste ... tasteless. Then we proceed to Kwangjiang Market for topokki, 3000won and fish cake, 1000won).
