181105 Jungbu Market,Kwangjang market Haneul park

We started our day by buying the famous Isaac Toast from an outlet near our hotel. Since it is a take away counter, we bought 1 muffin bacon with cheese and egg and brought it back to hotel to have breakfast there. (Hotel provides free breakfast for us). My verdict: I will eat it but not go there specially for it. The food has a very soft spongy muffin (the only thing I like about), top with a layer of bacon, a layer of egg omelet, a thin layer of reddish pickle and cheese. There is a tangy sweet flavor when you eat it. I prefer salty feel sandwich but not sweet salty meat sandwich. But not as bad as I will not eat it. If I am hungry, I will eat. Ha ha.

Started our tour by visiting Jungbu Market where we see dried seafood and buy our ginseng sweets and my red ginseng powder. Saw a hawker selling some red bean cakes (above). Bought 1 at 2000 won and ended up throwing away as it taste ... tasteless. Then we proceed to Kwangjiang Market for topokki, 3000won and fish cake, 1000won). We also tried the fried soy bean pancakes 4000won (center picture). There are alot more to see at Gwangjiang market. I bought quite a lot little embroidery pouches for souvenirs. Sometimes I feel that Korean street food is just like those in Taipei. Never ending.

To reach Jungbu Market, take the green line to Eujiro 4 (sa) gna station, exit 8 and walk there.
Jungbu Market is a wholesale dried seafood market. I just like the atmosphere there. Not too many tourist and less crowded. Funny how, I like to buy the ginseng sweet and red ginseng powder here than any other places.

To reach Kwangjiang Market, take the blue line (line 1) to Jongno 5 -gna. Exit 8. (But we walk there from Junbu market)

Haneul Park, located near Subway World Cup stadium.
Address : 487-48 Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, South Korea

The view after climbing to the top of the park
The silver flowers from the lalangs. Its beautiful. As mentioned in the Korean Tourism website (http://english.visitkorea.or.kr/enu/ATR/SI_EN_3_1_1_1.jsp?cid=264454 ) -
Opened on May 1st, 2002, the Wolrd Cup Park was once a 15-year-old landfill that held over 92 million tons of garbage. The park is located near Seoul World Cup Stadium, and is made up of five smaller parks - Pyeonghwa(Peace) Park, Haneul (Sky) Park, Noeul (Sunset) Park, Nanjicheon Park, and Nanji Hangang Park.

We manage to capture the red grass. But were quite upset that why would visitors destroy the beauty by stepping on them

Wanted BBQ but not sure where to go. Spotted this shop at the Junction of Daeheong Station. With no English menu, I told the owner to serve us 3 person share of pork belly. Never know it ended up very tasty without marinating. Well, perhaps it is because of the dip they served?

How to reach Haneul Park
Take a sub-way to World Cup Stadium. Walk towards the big carpark.
