If you are in Seoul for a short period of time and still wants to venture into greenery to see autumn leaves, Seoul Forest may be a good choice. We were late again, but hey, when you are not too late, you have the best of both world. There are some yellow and orange red leaves on top of the trees for you to view, the yellow gingko leaves act as a carpet for you. I believe this is a created forest, the trees are planted in straight line. So it look so beautiful for picture taking.
No need to go Nami Island. It is as beautiful as those people took from Nami Island.

Take subway line 2 to Sangwangsimni Station
From Sangwangsimni Station, take the yellow line to Seoul-Forest
Not forgetting, we did another round of ginseng chicken soup for brunch at Tosokchon Samgyetang before we travel to Seoul Forest.  Must allow my hubby to feast on this as this is a must eat list in Seoul.
After Seoul Forest, we when to Dongdaemun to check out a winter down coat event. Nothing much actually on this fair. So we headed to Sulbing for bingsu. This time the bingsu was good, compared to the one at Insadong. From Sulbing, we saw this hawker selling Hotteok and  red bean fishshape pancake. It was hot and taste so good in this cold weather.

Charcoal BBQ is so famous in Seoul. Everybody is talking about it when you talk about food in Seoul.
We went to this shop in Hongdae. I would say, this is a modern charcoal BBQ. They have mozzarella  cheese with the BBQ. Also, this is a tourist and expensive place to have BBQ. Comparing to the one we went near Daeheung station, the pork belly is selling at 14000 won instead of 8000won.  They even serve you a hot kimchi tofu soup to go with. So I guess all this add up the the price of meat. We spent 50,000 won for 3 person. Not a very filling dinner but for the experience.
Plus, it was so cold that night, when we get in and they placed the charcoal on the table, we started to place our hands on over the charcoal to warm our hands. The feeling is wonderful.
Hongdae - The much talk about place for youngsters.
We have a hard time joining the crowd getting up the escalators to this street. Then realised they crowd mostly youngsters catching their favorite streets performances. Understand these buskers have their designated location to perform. So the young crowd will crowd around these places to wait for their idol. Yes, they cheer for them and paid for their performance.
Look like in Seoul, you can survive busking.

Jungbu Dried seafood market - A short walk for Eujiro 4 (Sa)gna subway station. I love to see the dried seafood here. Unfortunately I cannot bring any of the dried seafood back home. The reason for me to visit this place this morning is to get my Korean Ginseng powder here.  I came 2 days ago but was told there were no more red ginseng powder. After using hands gesture and mobile phone calendar, we managed to communicate that the stock will arrive few days later and I will be able to have it if I come today morning. On my previous trip to Seoul 3 yrs ago, we stayed at Morning Sky Hotel and this market is just behind the hotel. We bought the Ginseng sweets and powder from this shop and is nice. So, I am back here, glad the shop is still around. Bought 2 bottles of  Red Ginseng Powder at 90,000won. 181103-Apsan Park, Daegu

Apsan Park, located in Daegu. We took a KTX train (40K+ won per ticket) to Dong Daegu, took a taxi  paid 10200won to get here) Paid another 9500 won ropeway fees to reach to mountain for this view. When the ropeway reach its station on mountain top, we mistaken Sopra Observatory as Apsan Observatory. After that we realised we need do climb a little to reach the other side for Apsan Observatory. Both observatory were nice to view the landscape. This eatery is located a Sopra Observatory. Dine with good view and food is great. Actually there are 3 mountains here. So watch where you are going. After Apsan Park, we managed to take a taxi to Jungangno Subway station in Daegu for shopping and Topokki. We ate at this shop when we find them not too crowded. The service is really slow and lucky, the food and topokki was good. Very spicy but you would never want to stop. Daegu shopping town is really very crowded. More crowded than in Seoul. 181105 Jungbu Market,Kwangjang market Haneul park

We started our day by buying the famous Isaac Toast from an outlet near our hotel. Since it is a take away counter, we bought 1 muffin bacon with cheese and egg and brought it back to hotel to have breakfast there. (Hotel provides free breakfast for us). My verdict: I will eat it but not go there specially for it. The food has a very soft spongy muffin (the only thing I like about), top with a layer of bacon, a layer of egg omelet, a thin layer of reddish pickle and cheese. There is a tangy sweet flavor when you eat it. I prefer salty feel sandwich but not sweet salty meat sandwich. But not as bad as I will not eat it. If I am hungry, I will eat. Ha ha. Started our tour by visiting Jungbu Market where we see dried seafood and buy our ginseng sweets and my red ginseng powder. Saw a hawker selling some red bean cakes (above). Bought 1 at 2000 won and ended up throwing away as it taste ... tasteless. Then we proceed to Kwangjiang Market for topokki, 3000won and fish cake, 1000won).
