181109 Naejangsan Jeongeup

 Naejangsan located in Jeongeup. A place I long wanted to visit.
Read so much about this place to view autumn leaves in autumn.
Finally we have this chance but realised we are 1 week late. Most of the leaves have fallen off. But still, it is really beautiful.

The queue to ropeway to the mountain top was extremely long and it seems like going to rain. So we decided not to visit the mountain top. The park at the base is also quite big to explore. We ended spending about 2 hours and later rush off as the sky is getting rather dark.


Being late has its advantages. The leaves were on the floor. So we can view autumn leave (those still on the tree) and those on the floor. It is so beautiful

Oh we tried the Lotte burger with cheese sticks at Lotte near the ropeway station at Naejangsan. Turn out the cheese sticks were quite good. The mozzarella cheese insde the stick was quite good. This the only fast food located at Naejangsan near the ropeway station. There are also other snack
shop located near the ropeway station.

There is this shop selling bone soup and noodle soup just opposite Jeongeup KTX station.
Actually, there are nothing much to do near Jeongeup KTX station. As we are not able to go up Naejangsan mountain top, we are left with 2 hours to burn. The express bus timing, we have booked for 7pm bus and was not able to change to 6pm departure time.
So we walk round and round nearby and decided to have our meals here. We entered the shop about 4pm plus and though the shop is open, they let us in reluctantly. The non-expressive facial expression, you can see that they are not happy with customers coming in. We think it is the culture here, that they do not smile always here. Anyway, the food was good, very authentic.

The park charge 3000 won per person without ropeway.

Once you reach Jeongeup station, you can check with the Tourist information desk on how to get to Naejangsan.
How to get there.
Take a KTX train to Jeongeup Station. Take bus number 171 to Naejangsan
OR
Take a express bus from Seoul Express Bus Terminal to Jeongeup Station.

Jungbu Dried seafood market - A short walk for Eujiro 4 (Sa)gna subway station. I love to see the dried seafood here. Unfortunately I cannot bring any of the dried seafood back home. The reason for me to visit this place this morning is to get my Korean Ginseng powder here.  I came 2 days ago but was told there were no more red ginseng powder. After using hands gesture and mobile phone calendar, we managed to communicate that the stock will arrive few days later and I will be able to have it if I come today morning. 181103-Apsan Park, Daegu

Apsan Park, located in Daegu. We took a KTX train (40K+ won per ticket) to Dong Daegu, took a taxi  paid 10200won to get here) Paid another 9500 won ropeway fees to reach to mountain for this view. When the ropeway reach its station on mountain top, we mistaken Sopra Observatory as Apsan Observatory. After that we realised we need do climb a little to reach the other side for Apsan Observatory. Both observatory were nice to view the landscape. This eatery is located a Sopra Observatory. Dine with good view and food is great. Actually there are 3 mountains here. So watch where you are going. After Apsan Park, we managed to take a taxi to Jungangno Subway station in Daegu for shopping and Topokki. We ate at this shop when we find them not too crowded. The service is really slow and lucky, the food and topokki was good. Very spicy but you would never want to stop. Daegu shopping town is really very crowded. More crowded than in Seoul. 181105 Jungbu Market,Kwangjang market Haneul park

We started our day by buying the famous Isaac Toast from an outlet near our hotel. Since it is a take away counter, we bought 1 muffin bacon with cheese and egg and brought it back to hotel to have breakfast there. (Hotel provides free breakfast for us). My verdict: I will eat it but not go there specially for it. The food has a very soft spongy muffin (the only thing I like about), top with a layer of bacon, a layer of egg omelet, a thin layer of reddish pickle and cheese. There is a tangy sweet flavor when you eat it. I prefer salty feel sandwich but not sweet salty meat sandwich. But not as bad as I will not eat it. If I am hungry, I will eat. Ha ha. Started our tour by visiting Jungbu Market where we see dried seafood and buy our ginseng sweets and my red ginseng powder. Saw a hawker selling some red bean cakes (above). Bought 1 at 2000 won and ended up throwing away as it taste ... tasteless. Then we proceed to Kwangjiang Market for topokki, 3000won and fish cake, 1000won).
