I must recommend this activity to everyone. Find her at http://www.sobaancooking.com/
Learn Korean cooking starting with a market tour. From 10.30am to 2pm.
The tour starts by walking from Silim subway Station, crossing the river to a local market after this river.
Understand from Anne(chef) that the Bottom Left rice cakes has different flavors. The rounded big ones with red bean paste and the small ones with syrup. We have some at her home and it tasted like Ondeh Ondeh exclude coconut.
Clockwise - Seaweed, green onions, dried ginseng with other traditional roots, perilla leaves. Anne shared with us that in Korean culture, you do not eat seaweed if you are sitting for a examination. Cause seaweed are slimy, so your results may slip. But Korean women will have seaweed after birth. Normally, seaweed soup is made broth made of beef bones and dried shrimps.
After the tour, Anne drove us to her mum's home for cooking lessons. Understand she chose this place as students likes to interact with her dog if it was conducted at her home. She also showed us the embroidery done by her mum. So beautiful.
Though we learn to cook Bulgogi and Seafood Pancake. We were served with side dishes and kimchi soup  prepared by her mum. The rice was shining and sticky. Very delicious.
Understand we cannot soak rice for more than half hour and add some sticky rice for the sticky feel.

It is better than eating in a restaurant as the side dishes and kimchi soup was so delicious. Of course, we would eat the bulgogi and seafood pancake created by ourselves.

Next, we were shown how traditional Korean dessert were made. Understand the light yellow ones were pollen powder collected by shaking pine tree flowers during spring. And is very expensive. We created the buttons by pressing it against the mould. Well, the most expensive ones taste like chines medicine. The ones uses to treat sore throat. ha ha ha

We were served desserts after our sessions. Anne include the 5 flavored tea and rice cake plus Korean fruits. We find our 60,000 won totally worth it. Cause not only we learn how to cook 2 dishes, we also learn some of the Korean culture. Anne did her tour well, lively and entertaining.
